Through its exhibitions, collection and events, the Cartoon Museum celebrates Britain's cartoon art from the 18th century to the present day. Britain's cartoon and comic heritage is one of the best in the world, and this small museum shows this artform in all its guises - caricature, the political, the social and of course the pocket and joke cartoons. Its main galleries are filled with artwork that will make you laugh from Hogarth to Gillray, to H. M. Bateman, Pont and Searle, to Steve Bell and Martin Rowson.
