Overview

We popped into Inverness Museum on a whim. We only had half an hour to spare but was really interesting and hope to be back!! Accessibility seemed good - we only had chance to look round ground floor but there are other floors accessible by lift.

Transport & Parking

Located in central Inverness - it was up a short steep hill from the high street.

Access

Automatic doors with step free entrance. However then you have to take three steps or a platform lift. Platform lift had a sign in it saying please contact staff to operate - We took the steps this time. Rest of ground floor seemed pretty accessible with exhibits at a good height and easily readable descriptions. There were a couple of interactive bits too incl a microscope to check out sharks teeth! There was a cafe and shop too but didn’t really have time to check those out further either!

Saw an accessible loo sign but didn’t use..
