Overview

This is a really pleasant hotel to visit, situated just outside the beautiful old Cotswold village of Broadway, with its delightful honey coloured Cotswold stone houses and pretty cottages, a pleasure to just wander around at ease, and Buckland Manor lies within easy reach of Broadway. We have offered two reviews for you already, and have now returned to enjoy a very pleasant lunch with them at Buckland manor ( Read our reviews on Euans guide by typing into the search box, Buckland Manor. ) It is a bit of a nuisance getting inside the hotel, as it means parking up close to the entrance of the hotel, but then having to take your chair around through the gardens and to the rear of the hotel, along pleasant enough paths lined with colourful plants and shrubs, but this helps you to see for yourself how nice the grounds are, and if you choose a nice warm sunny day, it will add to the delight of your afternoon visit. As you reach the very pleasant stone terrace a ramp will allow you access into the hotel, and it’s nice and level as you ride along to the historical and delightfully laid our bar lounge, were you may sit and relax while the capable and friendly staff will be pleased to serve you. On this review, we have chosen to take lunch with them, and a really nice occasion lay in store for us. Our photos as seen below this review will help you see why we recommend you visiting the Manor House, and just be able to relax together, either inside, or out there in the beautiful gardens that surround the hotel. We assure you, you will be well looked after, so if an opportunity arises, please go and visit Buckland Manor.

Transport & Parking

2.5

It’s a bit of a nuisance to get around to the rear of the hotel, after arriving at this lovely hotel, but it’s a pleasant drive along the side lane as you pass delightful Honey coloured cottages with well maintained gardens, and arrive at the delightful Manor House. There is a good little car park right by the main entrance, but the steps prevent you from getting into the hotel this way, but it’s easy enough to just go to the left of the hotel and follow the path around to the terrace at the rear, and then inside with the use of a ramp.

You need to take your chair through the pleasant gardens, along flower lined paths to the rear to reach the ramp that will take you inside the Manor House. This is a delightful experience for an afternoon visit, taking lunch or enjoying their excellent afternoon tea, especially out on the terrace on a warm sunny day. As regards overnight stays, we did not see any lifts, so you would need to book an accessible room on the ground floor, but this is a very popular hotel, and this means booking well in advance, as the rooms are taken very quickly each year, due to its location and attractive appearance, so this is why we recommend you visiting as a day visitor, and enjoy a few hours at Buckland Manor.
