A beautiful cove with a walkway round the whole perimeter

Transport & Parking

We drove there. Don't know about public transport. As you drive down towards the beach, you reach a small roundabout with blue badge parking on your right. I suggest you ignore that and carry on down the hill (2nd exit) to a level car park, much easier.

Access

Once you're on the beach it's very good with level walkways all the way round BUT between the car park and the walkway there is a steep path that my husband struggled with. I'm in a manual wheelchair and we had to go down backwards, cautiously. Once you're down there are various ways to access the beach depending how mobile you are.

Toilets

There were public loos next to the cafe with a ramp up to them and an accessible loo. It was locked but an attendant appeared with a key before I'd even registered this. All clean inside.

Staff

In the cafe they were friendly but not out of the norm.the cafe is right on the beach with spectacular views of the bay. The restaurant is above, with a more extensive menu, but it would have meant an extra marathon up the steep slope so we didn't go. What we had was good, but fairly pricey.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

The sand is actually small pebbles. Not so comfortable but much easier ti5 wipe off yourself and clean off than sand. We'd definitely go again. Very beautiful spot.
