Overview

Very good access to all parts of the venue. I visited here on Disabled Access Day and was impressed with their attention to detail when it came to consideration of disabled patrons. They had enough access to lifts for wheelchair users to reach all parts of the venue. I think they had about 11 or 12 wheelchair access spaces in the upper gallery. The lighting was also good enough for me to get around. I forgot to check seat numbers to see if these would be easy to find as this is often a problem. Overall I was impressed with the access in this venue.

Transport & Parking

The roads in Bristol are a complete and utter mess at the moment, so I'm not sure how easy it would be to get parking near this venue. I walked from the centre of Bristol, and even that was stressful due to the poor consideration for disabled people during these works. Many pavements are uneven and so difficult for cane and wheelchair users to navigate.

Access

When you get to Colston Hall you should be happy with the access. It looked very good for anyone with sensory or mobility problems. I had no issues with access anywhere within the venue.

Toilets

I can't comment as I didn't use the facilities here.

Staff

The staff seemed very knowledgable and keen to assist with anything they could. I think this is a positive sign that the venue is really committed to meeting the needs of all visitors.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

There is a steep hill up to the venue so this could be problematic for wheelchair or powerchair users not arriving by accessible transport directly to the front of Colston Hall.
