Overview
A lift in the mansion house itself took us up to the second floor passage, beautifully laid out in a very light coloured wood with pretty and interesting ornaments carefully selected to add charm to the setting, and it was only a few feet to push our wheelchair carefully over the carefully selected carpet and wood laid flooring and along to suite 25. The management have so kindly offered us an upgrade to help us celebrate our 62nd anniversary and have treated us with a lovely suite that we shall never forget. We will always be grateful for their kind thoughts and the wonderful surprise we received when we entered our very large and comfortable suite. It was absolutely delightful, decorated out in the same pale scheme that we passed through to get here, and our first reaction was simply, amazing. The room looked huge, ideal for disabled people because it is so easy to move around with space to manoeuvre our wheelchair and place it out of the way. The wardrobe provided amply space for our clothing, tea and coffee making machines, with quite a selection of spirits available for a late night cap. Bedside tables offered easy access and comfortable chairs to allow any work needed to keep family up to date about our exciting visit to this beautiful mansion. The view from the upper floor looked out over a well maintained landscaped parkland, just above the main hotels entrance, ideal for watching the excited visitors and their anticipated joy of joining us in their own delightful rooms. The coffee table had been laid out ready for us with a surprise gift of a very pleasant bottle of Champaign, and a boxed gift that awaited my wife’s inspection, which she quickly opened to reveal beautiful Wedgewood china cup and saucers. What a lovely thoughtful gift from the team, something we can always treasure over the years. The bathroom was beautiful, large, spacious, delightfully decorated, with marble flooring and walls, amazing. It has a separate WC and walk in shower, or if fit enough you can enjoy the experience of the copper and modern bathtub. The room is a place you want to sit and relax in, comfort at the highest level, and this really did make our anniversary one of the best weekends we have ever enjoyed. We were spoilt beyond words.

Access
A lift stood a few yards away from the reception desk, a reasonable size which we feel most chairs and scooters would get into, and just a short push to reach our suite 25, all on the level.

So very pleasant and helpful, we were escorted up to our room, and everything explained to us to help us settle in and be ready for a wonderful weekend.
