Venue Description

Crich Tramway Village has developed into one of Derbyshire's most unique family day out. Trams run to and fro down a cobbled street past the former Derby Assembly rooms before passing under the Bowes-Lyon Bridge and climbing a mile and a half of track that provides breathtaking views of the surrounding Derbyshire countryside. Experience the fascinating Woodland Walk & Sculpture Trail which winds its way back to the village or remain on the tram and be dropped off outside The Red Lion Pub and Tearooms before visiting the fascinating Exhibitions and Workshop Viewing Gallery. There are also picnic areas and indoor and outdoor play areas to keep the children entertained. Plus, unlimited entry for 12 months with your admission ticket. Book tickets online now. The Village is open daily from 29th March until 2nd November. For more details Tel: 01773 854321 or visit www.tramway.co.uk.

Accessibility

We understand the importance of access for all, so we have taken measures to ensure all of our visitors enjoy a great day with us whatever their ability. There are access ramps or lifts to all our visitor facilities and the Access Tram is a 1969 Berlin tram which has been adapted to lift and carry people in wheelchairs. The Access Tram runs daily at 11:30am and 2:30pm. A "smoothway" provides a smoother alternative to the cobbles for wheelchairs and buggies. Wheelchairs are available for hire from 10am until 4pm for a £10 deposit which is refunded when the wheelchair is returned. If you would like to book a wheelchair in advance, please contact us the day before you visit to check availability. There are disabled toilets located at the Red Lion Pub, Assembly Rooms and at the Wakebridge Tram Stop.
