Overview
We visited for the Marillion Weekender.
Transport & Parking
There is pre-booked blue badge parking at the front of the venue - this is free and easily accessible. The only minor issue is the parking is designed in a row with cars parking front to back meaning that you end up close to the car in front and behind. This may cause issues if you need space behind for wheelchair or scooter access.
Access
People with access issues can enter the venue 20 minutes early through a side door which gives plenty of time to visit the merchandise stall without crowds and find your seats. We were in the upper stalls with wheelchair access and a carers ticket. The view was good and we were near the toilet. There is no bar on this level and you need to go to the lower stalls for this. There is one decent sized lift that you can use for this. The only issue is that whilst there is generous wheelchair space, the leg room in the actual seats on row E is about 7 inches smaller than on the other rows, which meant that many people were having to somehow sit slightly sideways in order to fit in the seats as there not enough leg room. For those of a larger size or with leg issues they are almost inaccessible. We found a solution of putting a chair next to the wheelchair, but there might not be space in all parts of the row for this.
Toilets
Clean and of a decent size.
Staff
Absolutely brilliant! The people giving out the wrist bands for tickets didn’t really know much about access, but the car park attendant and all stewards on duty during the gig were brilliant n
