Most of the garden well well wooded and has a network of narrow grass paths on slopes and terraces.

The site has nice views of Duddingston Loch and Arthur's Seat,

Dr Neil's Garden is on a steep slope from Duddingston Kirk down to the side of Duddingston Loch. This makes installing wheel chair accessible paths very difficult for us and currently the site does not have any paths that are really suitable for wheelchairs. Parts of the site can be accessed on a mobility scooter. We are looking into the possibility of upgrading some of the paths to make the site more accessible.

Amazing secret garden but mostly on a slope!

This a wee hidden gem in the village of Duddingston on the outskirts of Holyrood Park. It is a very quite and peaceful garden which is pretty accessible in some areas, allowing everyone to enjoy some of the best bits of the gardens.

A secret garden...

This beautiful hidden garden was created by two doctors on the lower slopes of Arthur's Seat beside Duddingston Loch. The very nature of the garden does make it quite tricky to access, however the owners have worked to make it as accessible as possible by fitting an accessible toilet with doors to the cafe and straight outside.
