Overview
Honestly, we were all shattered by the time we visited EPIC the Irish emigration museum. It was the last day of our 18 day road trip across Ireland and we were just killing time in the day. There was a lot of written information on the walls with videos projected onto the end wall in each room. You get a passport that you stamp as you go through the museum. There were a few interactive touch screens around the museum but unfortunately I couldn’t see some of them because of my position in my wheelchair. I’m not massively into history so this wasn’t really my thing. They did do a free carer ticket.
Transport & Parking
There’s a car park about a 10 minute walk away, without height restriction.
Access
Great accessibility. There’s flat access into the building, you enter around the side of the building. Once you get your ticket you go into a lift and go down to a lower floor. Once you’re on the floor of the exhibit it’s flat access all the way through. Some of the interactive screens I couldn’t see but I think that was because of my position in my chair.
Toilets
I believe they had accessible toilets but I didn’t need to use them.
Staff
Receptionist was nice enough.
