Gastein

This resort is for skiers but also boasts good access for wheelchairs/scooters. There is disabled parking and a ramp - a bit steep - which leads into the ski lift. The operators stop the lift to allow access. Take the lift to the very top where again they stop. Go direct to the restaurant where they look after you very well. There is a disabled toilet accessible either with the disabled key which Europe issue or the lift operators have one. There is a great outdoor terrace which leads to a suspension bridge!! Yes - it fits chairs and scooters and it’s possible to go all the way across. The views are spectacular. On the return the operators will again stop the lift. There is plenty of room to move about and there’s also a shop which has lots of room. The staff were exceptional. Very helpful
