Overview

We return to Ghyll Head every year with a group of children with SEND. The bungalow provides us with a safe, totally adapted place for our children to stay- often it’s the first time away from home. All the staff go out of their way to give our children an incredible experience with a whole range of activities both on and off the site. Our parents value this opportunity as much as their children. They are overwhelmed by the achievements they make while they are here. Food is excellent with clean plates every night thanks to the fantastic chef.

Transport & Parking

Parking is right next to the bungalow entrance.

Access

The bungalow is completely adapted for our children. There is easy access from a number of entrances. There are two hoists, two wet rooms with changing bed and a range of sleeping aids for a range of needs.

Toilets

Full wet room and accessible toilet with rails.

Staff

The staff are outstanding in ensuring our children have a range of adventurous and physical activities. They are highly skilled in using equipment, adapted activities and appropriate levels of language to ensure that children are challenged to take part in a full range of activities. We won’t go anywhere else!

Anything else you wish to tell us?

We always feel that we are coming home when we arrive at Ghyll Head. We get a warm welcome from everyone and we feel like they know us really well. We have been completely nag here for many many years with children with a wide range of needs. Every child has had an amazing experience
