Overview
Lovely garden. Nice for a wander and plenty of seating. National trust for Scotland site so visitors with accessibility requirements can have a companion join them for free. Please note the woodland walks (level paths) outside of the walls are free for everyone
Transport & Parking
Car park which can fill up on sunny days. A couple of disabled parking spaces but paint on these is getting very faint. Two paths up to entrance or woodland walks.
Access
Main entrance has two steps. The level access is slightly further from the car park, through a large gate, a cobbled area and through an unmarked door. Unfortunately I don't think the gate is always unlocked and there's no signage on it. From the cafe/shop/ticket booth there is a cobbled courtyard with seating and toilets on the left. Path through to a grass lawn and then formal gardens. Lots of benches around the gardens. Paths are a mix of grass, bark and stone, some twisty or narrow. A couple steps in the back left section. A few signs within the garden but not in large print or braille
Toilets
One accessible toilet beside ladies toilets off the cobbled courtyard. Seemed a reasonable size, tidy and had grab rails. Also contains the baby changing facilities
