A Very Positive Experience New

Overview
This was my first visit to any cinema since I've been in a wheelchair and I was not a little bit apprehensive. Fortunately, my fears were unfounded as it's fully accessible (with a couple of caveats). Staff were immediately friendly and helpful and, I'm sure, would have been on hand if needed. Pricing is pretty much standard for cinemas these days, so can't really complain. They accept the CEA card. Food-wise, they do their utmost to source locally, which is good. We had a coffee in the café after our cinema visit and I'll definitely be checking out Glen Lyon coffee again. The cakes we had were also delicious. Incidentally, you get a 10% discount on food and drink with your cinema ticket. This was definitely a positive experience and one which made me slightly regret not pushing myself to go sooner. I'll definitely be more inclined to go in future.
Transport & Parking
There is a single disabled space in front of the cinema but it was in use when we arrived. However, you can get dropped off, and the driver can then park in the car park immediately adjacent. I'd recommend this as the terrain between the car park and the cinema is challenging for a wheelchair user, even with help. The car park is chargeable but free with a Blue Badge. One unfortunate thing is that parking is restricted to THREE hours, which isn't really enough for a longer film and/or if you want a coffee/meal afterwards.
Access
The reception area, disabled toilet, and café are all on the level and spacious enough to manoeuvre easily. The cinema level is accessed by a platform lift. There are two heavy doors to negotiate, which is understandable from a sound insulating point of view but does mean you need help. In Screen 1, there are two wheelchair spaces in row C right in front of the entrance. I was worried that they'd be a bit close to the screen, but it's actually not too bad a view. I understand Screen 2 has a single space in a similar position. All in all, I'd give two thumbs up for accessibility.
Toilets
The single disabled toilet is on the ground level. It is just big enough to manoeuvre with your chair, but I wouldn't want it any smaller. It has a sliding door, which is good, and the standard grab rail set-up.
Staff
All staff encountered were cheery, friendly and helpful.
