Overview
Have you even been to London if you don't see the London Eye? Jubilee Gardens is a neat little green space right on the South Bank, tucked between the London Eye and the Thames. It’s mostly open grass with wide, smooth paths, and there’s plenty of space to roll through or just sit and take it all in as you enjoy your M&S Meal Deal, or Gail's Bakery cake and coffee (both are nearby).
Transport & Parking
There is no parking at the gardens, but York Street offers a good bus link with the 11, 76, 77, 381, C10 and N381. Waterloo Railway Station is also nearby and, despite what Google currently says, is wheelchair accessible. Both are less than 320 metres away.
Access
The park has level access throughout, with smooth brickwork to traverse over and gradual inclines. There are plenty of wooden benches, but many people opted to sit along the edges of the grass or on the grass itself. I didn't note any further accessibility features, but the gardens offer a welcoming space for all.
Toilets
The nearest toilet facilities are the ‘Jubiloos’ located by the North West corner of the Gardens one of which is wheelchair-accessible. I should mention that I didn't visit the toilet, so I'm unsure of the dimensions or cost, which is why I haven't given a rating.
