Venue Description

Live Theatre is a new writing theatre located on Newcastle's Quayside. The venue produces a wide range of new work including main house plays, script-in-hand readings, comedy, music, youth theatre, new writing workshops and much more besides. Live Theatre produces work as varied and diverse as the audiences it engages with. To do this it: Creates and performs new plays of world class quality Finds and develops creative talent Unlocks the potential of young people through theatre Live Theatre is a fully accessible building. Live produces a range of assisted performances.

Accessible Performances

Live Theatre offers a range of assisted performances throughout the year aimed at improving the theatre experience for all audience members. Facilities include British Sign Language interpreted performances, Captioned Performances, Audio Described shows, Touch Tours and Relazed performances in addition to Live Theatre's internal hearing aid systems which can be used for shows in both the main theatre and studio spaces.
