    About

The London Palladium is an iconic Grade II listed West End theatre situated on Argyll Street in Soho. Renowned as the home of variety entertainment, this historic venue has hosted legendary performers from Frank Sinatra to Judy Garland and is famous for the Royal Variety Performance. Visitors can today enjoy a diverse programme featuring major musical theatre productions, live music concerts, and the celebrated annual Christmas pantomime.

The venue offers two lavishly decorated bars, the Val Parnell Bar and the Variety Bar, where guests can enjoy refreshments in a setting that retains much of its original French Rococo glamour. The grand auditorium seats over two thousand people across three levels, providing an immersive experience for world class entertainment. Its central location makes it a popular destination for those exploring the vibrant dining and shopping districts of central London.

The theatre provides step free access from the street to the Stalls level via a dedicated lift located to the left of the main entrance. There are two accessible toilets available, one situated in the Val Parnell Bar and another at the rear of the Stalls auditorium. While the historic nature of the building means the Royal Circle and Grand Circle are only accessible by stairs, the Stalls offer several dedicated wheelchair spaces and easy access for those with limited mobility.

Limited accessible parking for Blue Badge holders is available behind the premises in Ramillies Place, approximately 200 metres from the entrance. An infra-red audio enhancement system is provided for D/deaf people or those with a hearing impairment, with headsets available from the foyer cloakroom. Induction loops are also located at the box office and in the Val Parnell corridor to assist visitors with their access requirements.

Wheelchair accessible venue but uncomfortable seating angles

Staff are outside and will take you in a side entrance which has a built in ramped hallway to a small lift, which then takes you to the correct level. Winding corridors and turns but nice and light. Toilet is behind a fire exit door so not usually misused. Low toilet but there is a clip on seat raiser to take the toilet to wheelchair height. Very hilly in auditorium which was an issue to to my core strength as you tilt sideways to access the seats and then have to sit at an angle in your chair if in row O otherwise the person behind can’t fit in their seat with leg room. Due to this I wouldn’t go again as it was really comfortable as I had to hold myself upright during the show. There is no on-site car park but they state there are two spaces in the small road behind them (not their spaces). We tried this but unfortunately the spaces are out of use until late May 2022 due to building work. We ended up parking off Carnaby Street.

    Best disabled facilities

We were met outside the theatre by friendly helpful staff , who took us in by the dedicated route . We were shown the bar area and then taken to the disabled toilet which was roomy and spotless . We then were shown to our seats , my mobility scooter was then taken and stored until the performance ended , then we were escorted out of the theatre , brilliant service

An Accessible Old theatre venue but let down by the lack of facilities and staff

The London Palladium is a beautiful venue and has a lot of wheelchair spaces and seats for users who can transfer which is great since it does have some excellent productions. However, access to the stalls is via lift (one at a time) and there is just on wheelchair accessible toilet for 10 plus users. Staff were unhelpful which is rare at a London theatre venue. After being shown to out seats/space we were told staff would help with drinks etc and no one came to see us before the show or during the interval. It was a scrum during the interval to reach or use the one very dirty toilet.
