Overview
You visit Malin Head because it's the most northerly point in Ireland, and it was definitely good from an access perspective that you can get all the way there by car. There's a car park with a low-key modern toilet block, and when we were there, a couple of trailers selling drinks, home-made cakes and souvenirs. As a scooter-using visitor, I enjoyed the views from the clifftops, the fresh air and being in what still feels like quite a remote, wild place. I really wished I could have gone on some of the gravel paths around the cliffs, though, and there was one in particular where it wouldn't have taken too much more to have made it accessible (level it off a bit and remove the odd small ledge or step. Anyway, it was still a beautiful place and I'm glad I went.
Transport & Parking
There's an adequate car park with a couple of blue badge spaces. From there you go a short way up a steep tarmac road to get to the top viewpoint. My scooter coped fine with this, but if your scooter or wheelchair wouldn't, there's room for someone to drive you up and drop you off at the top.
Access
It's good that you can get all the way to the main clifftop viewpoint by tarmac road but a shame none of the gravel paths are accessible.
Toilets
Spacious modern loo with reasonable handrails. Could have been cleaner but I don't think you can expect a location like that to be checked more than once a day.
Staff
The people in the drinks stall were nice enough, and the souvenir stall woman was very helpful with bringing stuff down from her trailer hatch for me to look at.
