Overview
Marylebone Library is one of the local public libraries run by Westminster Council. It offers both lending and reference sections as well as a children's library. It has steps free access and an accessible toilet.
Transport & Parking
I travelled by public transport. It's a 5 - 10 minute walk from Baker Street tube station. There are several buses that serve the Marylebone Road from which it is a flat 5 minutes walk to the library.
Access
There's a steps free entrance to the ground floor. There is a wheelchair accessible lift to the upper floors which I didn't use. The gaps between the book shelves are wide.
Toilets
There is a large disabled accessible toilet with grab rails, opposite the entrance on the ground floor. There is an emergency cord.
Staff
Staff were very welcoming and friendly. They directed me to the disabled toilet.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
I visited the library as I was attending one of their special events, Sherlock Day. I attended the evening session which was for adults. The event was well organised with a guest speaker and magician. There were also refreshments, wine, soft drinks and some sweet and savoury snacks. The event was also free. This is a popular, busy and well resourced library never close to Baker Street and Marylebone High Street.
