Venue Description

The Millennium Forum is a 1,000 seater theatre and conference centre opened in 2001. We host a variety of events including comedy, musicals and concerts. We also host meetings, workshops and conferences Accessibility We have 8 wheelchair spaces, 4 in stalls and 2 in circle and upper circle. Additional spaces can be provided in stalls (in advance only). We have accessible toilets on all 3 levels and a changing place facility on site. All areas within the building are accessible by lift and stairs. We also provide a courtesy wheelchair to assist customers to their seats. Our auditorium is equipped with a hearing loop system and Infra-Red hearing loop (available from our shop). We have booster seats and noise reducing headphones if required. We have a designated Quiet Room with a sensory area which is open for all our performances for anyone who needs time out from the performance. The Millennium Forum provide several access projects every month, we hold Dementia Friendly Tea Dances, a Moves & Melodies project, Energy of Light Discos and DJ Skills training. Access for all Membership Scheme Our Access for all Scheme has been designed for people with physical/sensory or cognitive disabilities, and is a practical display of the Millennium Forum’s belief that there should be equal access to our theatre for everyone. Accessible Performances

We offer several accessible performances throughout the year, depending on our programme. Our panto is produced in house and we have a Relaxed and Dementia Friendly performance as well as a signed performance and this year an audio described performance. We will also have a song performed at each panto performance in Makaton.

We have an accessible toilet on all levels in the Millennium Forum. We also have a changing places facility and accessible dressing room backstage for performers
