Overview
We went primarily to see Concorde but there were other interesting exhibits too.
Transport & Parking
There was ample accessible parking and, as a previous helpful reviewer has pointed out, the map issued with the tickets shows where to go. The land train no longer runs as apparently they have expanded the disabled parking at the various venues. There is a bus service as noted on the website.
Access
The Concorde Experience, cafe and shop are all in the same area joined by ramps - one outdoors and one under cover. The hangar containing Concorde is obviously huge and indeed contains other planes including a Red Arrow jet. We knew the wheelchair user would not be able to get inside Concorde but she got a good view from wheeling around and under it. There are two videos. Seats are available and there are toilets, including an accessible one, in the hangar. We also drove over the Military Aviation hangar. As noted on the website, there is a lift to the viewing platform (pictured) but it's not in fact necessary to use it as there is a lot to see at ground level. Apart from the planes, there are other exhibits such as pilots' uniforms, seats (First World War one looks like a garden chair!) and a Concentration Camp uniform. There are bench type seats in this hanger. The hangers both had a flat, smooth surface which was easy for wheeling. The cafe is spacious and level. There are a few tables outside and also picnic style tables near the main entrance.
Toilets
We only used the toilet in the shop. It had plenty of room for a wheelchair user and assistant. There were horizontal rails on each side, one drop-down and one attached to the wall. The red cord hung to the floor.
Staff
All very pleasant and knowledgeable.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
The museum has done a very good job of making things accessible. Suggestions I would make are: - To put more seats with backs within the grounds. I didn't see many at all. - To improve the website to give more of an idea about what to expect in the different areas. We randomly chose Military Avaiation rather than Civil Aviation because there was not much detail. -To provide a video of the inside of Concorde so those with mobility issues can see it. We watched one and a half videos but I don't think the inside was shown in any detail. The museum is well worth visiting, even you are not a great aircraft enthusiast. If you want to see all of it I think you would have to allow a whole day.
