Overview
This is an Inn with a Michelin Star in Oxfordshire. It’s not in everyone’s budget (a very special treat for me). Easy to book online, quick, helpful response to access questions. There is a good flat parking area amongst stunning gardens, I am sure the team would reserve the closest spot to the entrance if you asked. The building itself is heritage, there are multiple level changes, narrow door ways, a narrow entrance corridor and low lighting, so take care when making your way around. The staff are exceptional; warm, caring, professional, knowledgeable. No problem about being given a seat in the corner (good for deaf access because sound is best there), plenty of furnishings to absorb background noise. The food and the sommelier stood out, this was a memorable lunch and months on I am still singing praises.
Transport & Parking
Parking will be no problem, email/ call ahead if you need a space close to the entrance. It is a rural village location which suggests public transport would be a problem. The most connected train station might be Oxford Parkway if you can stretch to a taxi from there?
Access
Steps, level changes, narrow doorways and corridor, low lighting make the old building relatively tricky to make your way around. It’s a beautiful heritage building. However there is a more modern extension with a separate wider door, on a more level, wider path from the car park.
Toilets
Staff
Quick, smooth email communication to check access. Exceptionally helpful staff, with good understanding of access needs and respectful manners. Loved the sommelier’s infectious enthusiasm.
