Overview

This part two of reviews for Pennyhill Park concentrates on the beautiful and well kept gardens, well worth asking your carer to push you along. There are steps in one or two places, but you can see all you need to anyway. Let’s start our review by heading along the beautiful passage towards the Latimer restaurant (photo 1) which proudly holds a Michelin star, and a 4AA rosette that will introduce you to the fine dining Latimer restaurant. It is all on the level, passing the magnificent staircase (2) and along highly polished wooden flooring. As it was just mid morning, the restaurant was not open, door still closed (3) so we could not take a photo for the restaurant, but this very expensive Michelin experience can be seen by going online to view their photos. Ahead you can see part of the gardens we will ride along. Going outside to one of its doorways, (photo 4) we found the delightful well kept garden terrace (photo 5) with the lawns already cropped short and looking as green as ever, and on warm sunny days there is plenty of seating on their comfortable cain furniture (6) and you see that the paths are level enough for you to move around. A path alongside the main house is well maintained and easy to push along (7) that leads towards the main gardens below and towards a small annex (8) but here it has to many steps for you to bother with but you can still have a wonderful view of the terraced gardens below (photo 9) which you can enjoy by taking a seat on the higher terrace level (10) which looks ahead and down towards the lower woodland gardens (11). In another spot, which you can reach from the Spa itself, you have a delightful view back up towards the main house (12) OUR FINAL THOUGHTS on part two review. Even on todays dull cloudy March morning, the walk was well worth while, a feeling of ease and contentment and at peace follows you around, so the effort was rewarding enough for having taken the trouble to step outside to see their delightful gardens.

The gardens are a joy to see but it does have steps to be aware of, but most of the gardens can be seen anyway, so we encourage you to take a short break and go and see for yourself the hard work involved in looking after this beautiful garden areas.
