Overview
There are many beautiful Victorian arcades in Leeds and while Queens Arcade is not the largest or most lavish, I appreciate that most of the shops have step-free access, although some of the doors might be a little narrow. The glass roof lets in natural light and together with the light tiled floor it makes for a nice calming atmosphere. There is some gastronomy in the arcade with seating in the arcade walkway.
Transport & Parking
The arcade connects Lands Lane at the upper and Briggate at the lower end. Both of them are pedestrianised where the arcade meets them. The closest bus stops are on The Headrow. Some bus stops for Victoria and Corn Exchange are also nearby. There is no on-street parking, but there are paid multi-storey car parks, the closest being NCP The Core and Q-Park Albion Street. Leeds Station is about half a mile/a 10-minute walk or wheel away. Leeds Bus Station is at a similar, very slightly shorter distance.
Access
There are no steps within the walkway of the arcade and most shops have step-free entrances through sometimes narrow doors. There are no doors to get in and out of the arcade. The floor is even tiling. The arcade slopes up from Briggate to Lands Lane.
Toilets
There are no toilets at this venue.
