Overview
Some doors looked heavy, though members of the public or hotel staff opened them so I didn't find out. No push button. Narrowish double doors. Two lifts, small. Only just fitted in with my wheelchair and suitcase. No room to turn. Difficult to reverse out of. One had clear space behind, the other had obstacles to reverse around. I asked for a room that I could get my wheelchair into but I didn't need fully wheelchair accessible facilities within the room. Most switches and the air conditioning / room temperature control would be too high for short or seated customers. Towels were high up. There was a shower chair and two shower head options. The default is for the overhead shower. The handheld shower head was difficult to remove from the holder. There were 3 bottles (conditioner, bodywash and shampoo). They were hard to use. The pump action didn't work very well.
Transport & Parking
I wheeled from kings cross station. The pavements are OK, sometimes quite uneven. Lots of people in the daytime. Dropped kerbs invariably have puddles if it has been raining.
Access
Step free access. Two small lifts, just big enough for me and my suitcase. No lower desk for check in but staff were helpful.
Toilets
The toilet in the hotel room looked like a standard toilet. There were various rails and the toilet roll was lower down. The sink was in a corner.
Staff
Friendly, helpful manner. I can't remember if they offered help getting to the room. On departure, the moment the night staff (Mohammed, I think) heard me struggling out of the lift, they came to help wheel my suitcase. They opened the doors to exit and asked if I needed any more help.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
No noticeable covid precautions. I would consider it suitable for my needs, even if doorways and lifts were a bit tight. The room overlooked Warren Street tube station. There were a few loud announcements that woke me. The last one, I guess, was around the time of the station closing for the night, midnight or so. Generally it was loud for me, but then London is loud. I was tired enough to sleep regardless.
