Overview

I stayed at Revitalise with my 74 year old Mum who is an amputee & wheelchair user. Netley Waterside House offers holidays to people with a wide range of abilities & their carers. The staff & volunteers work hard to deliver the best possible experience. Trips are available to places such as museums and shopping centres. There is live entertainment every evening and a range of activities throughout the day. Dietary requirements are met & there is a licenced bar. Carers & nursing staff ensure that everyone gets a break. Due to her disability my Mum has been unable to use a bath for 15 years, but thanks to the incredible "Parker Bath", she was able to enjoy a long soak with bubble jets. Waterside house is in a beautiful location, with stunning views of the water. A lot of thought has gone into providing the best possible experience.

Transport & Parking

There is parking outside. Revitalise has its own accessible minibuses. When you arrive there is a number you can call & someone will help take your luggage to your room.

Access

Both floors are accessible to wheelchairs. There is a large lift. Automatic doors make life so much easier. Although there are some steps in the garden, there is also a wheelchair route. Admittedly part of this was closed due to the weather, but it was still possible to get outside & enjoy the fresh air & stunning views.

Toilets

All toilets & bathrooms are accessible. There are wheel in wet rooms.

Staff

Waterside is run by paid staff & volunteers. They were all very kind & helpful.

Revitalise is a charity the offers holidays (respite care) from 3 locations. Some people visit on their own, others come with carers or family, but everyone is given a warm welcome & is very well looked after.
