Rose Theatre

24-26 High Street, Kingston upon Thames, KT1 1HL, United Kingdom | 02081740090 | Website

Venue Description

Rose Theatre Kingston aims to serve the population of Kingston, South West London, Surrey and beyond by entertaining and engaging audiences. Rose Theatre's beautiful 822-seat, circular auditorium is situated in the idyllic Royal Borough of Kingston Upon Thames. Its circular design brings great intimacy and epic scale to all the productions that appear here. The Rose works with internationally renowned theatre companies and directors to create and present world class productions that are accessible to all.

Accessibility

The Rose features: • 10 wheelchair spaces in the auditorium (stalls and circle). • Accessible toilets on every floor with baby change facilities available in both the male and female toilets on the ground floor • Level access into the building and The Rose Café • An infrared hearing system in the auditorium with two types of Sennheiser receivers. Stethoset headsets can be used without hearing aids and personal neck loops can be used by those with hearing aids set to the T switch. There are areas of the auditorium with better reception than others and so we advise discussing this with Box Office at the time of booking. All headsets are available from our ushers and are free to use. • Lift access to all floors • Low counters at the Box Office • Automatic doors to gain entrance into the building. From our Autumn 2021 season our patrons can book accessible seating online, as well as through our box office.

Assistance dog facilities

Other assistance dog facilities

We are happy for assistance dogs to accompany our patrons into the auditorium, or for the dog to be left with a member of our front of house team for the duration of the performance. Where possible, please let us know in advance if you are bringing an assistance dog, so that we can arrange a water bowl and dog-sitter during the performance if required. We will always be happy to facilitate an assistance dog, but advanced warning will help us make arrangements before your arrival.
