The tram network can easily transport you around other areas in Edinburgh very easily and is an accessible way of getting around!

Access
The stop is accessed via ramps at either end of the stop, which both connect to pelican crossings and lead to either side of the road and tram tracks. There are contactless points to tap your card/pass for those with them. They are placed at a good height that would within reach for most people. There are also ticket machines for those needing to purchase tickets, it takes coins or card. The machine is operated by a touchscreen and while there were options to get in touch with someone, such as a phone number and pointing out the help point button located within the tram stop, there wasn’t any braille to help someone with a visual impairment to find the right solution for them. The touchscreen was at a slightly higher height than I was comfortable with in my wheelchair, options towards the top of the screen were a bit of a stretch. The screen was also slightly tilted upwards and if the sun had been behind me I would have really struggled to read the screen. There were some metal seats available at either end of the stop which were in the open. There was some undercover sections and this area had some thin, perching benches but not proper seats. The stop has trams stopping on either side of it depending on the direction of the tram. Each side has tactile pavement markers to signify where the edge of the platform is. There are also pavement tiles with wheelchair symbols to easily identify the best place to board if you're in a wheelchair or mobility scooter. When the tram arrived the doors opened automatically and the floor of the tram was completely level with the tram stop and the gap between the two was very small.
Toilets
There aren't any toilets here but there is one in Edinburgh Bus Station which is very close
