I can certainly endorse Colin's comments and the cafe shop and disabled toilet is great

Lovely Museum full of history with delightful displays of furniture, art, fashion, pottery etc.

Bowes Museum is a delight . It is steeped in history and has connections with the Bowes Lyon family. The displays are well displayed and easily accessed by wheelchair users. Lift to all floors...
