The Witham

The Witham is Barnard Castle's vibrant Arts Centre, with an Art Gallery, Shop, Box Office, Cafe and Bar. With a Victorian Music Hall and Arts Centre, joined together by an architecturally-award winning Cafe Bar and meetings rooms, The Witham offers a wealth of cultural, commercial and community events throughout the year. The wide variety of entertainment includes Theatre, Film, Live Screenings, Comedy (thanks to the Funny Way To Be Comedy Club), Contemporary and Classical Music, workshops, lectures and more. The Witham prides itself on it's friendly team of staff and volunteers who are always happy to help any customer whether that be in the cafe or during an evening show. With an accessible toilet, reserved seats for wheelchair spaces, a hearing loop, complimentary tickets for carers for cinema and live broadcast screenings as well as ramp entrances into the building, The Witham understands the needs of disabled customers.
