Overview
Pretty accessible building and helpful, friendly staff. Carer goes free with a valid CEA card.
Transport & Parking
There are double yellow lines outside where you can park for 3 hours with a blue badge.
Access
Step free access is on the left hand side: The main entrance has step-free access on the left. There is an accessible toilet inside to the left. Next to the toilet on the left there's a gentle ramp with a hand rail up to the counter where you can buy tickets and refreshments. To the right of the counter are some seats to rest. Inside the screen there is a slope to the seats. The cinema does showings that are autism-friendly as well as films with subtitles or audio description.
Toilets
The loo is immediately to the left of the main entrance. It is large enough for a wheelchair and carer, has grab handles, a hand dryer and paper towels. It is clean and newly redecorated. Sometimes it appears to be used by ladies who don't want to go up the stairs to the main ladies toilets.
Staff
The staff are fantastic and friendly. I am a member of the cinema and have always found them helpful. They have helped me to get to my seat and carried my slice of cake. They are knowledgeable.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Lovely cake - especially the porter cake! If you can manage stairs there is a lovely, small, bar and cafe upstairs with a small outside seating area. But there are lots of stairs! The only thing that is problematic at the moment is a new system they have introduced. They are replacing their own carer's card with the CEA card and are having teething problems. I always had a CEA card but at the moment can't book with my CEA card on my app.
