Overview
Pretty accessible building and helpful, friendly staff. Carer goes free with a valid CEA card.
Transport & Parking
There are double yellow lines outside where you can park for 3 hours with a blue badge.
Access
Step free access is on the left hand side: The main entrance has step-free access on the left. There is an accessible toilet inside to the left. Next to the toilet on the left there's a gentle ramp with a hand rail up to the counter where you can buy tickets and refreshments. To the right of the counter are some seats to rest. Inside the screen there is a slope to the seats. The cinema does showings that are autism-friendly as well as films with subtitles or audio description.
Toilets
The accessible loo is immediately to the left of the main entrance. You need a RADAR key. If you don't have one you get one from staff. It is large enough for a wheelchair and carer, has grab handles, a hand dryer and paper towels. It is clean and newly redecorated. It has grabrails, a hand dryer or paper towels.
Staff
The staff are fantastic and friendly. I am a member of the cinema and have always found them helpful. They have helped me to get to my seat, found a key we dropped and lent me a blanket. They are knowledgeable.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
They used to do a selection of fresh cakes but now it is mainly bars and pre-packaged flapjacks etc. If you can manage stairs there is a lovely, small, bar and cafe upstairs with a small outside seating area. But there are lots of stairs! The only thing that is problematic is the website doesn't remember my CEA card number and I have to input it every time. Also they only show films one week ahead so it's hard to plan.
