107 Leadenhall Street, EC3A 4AF, City of London, EC3A 4AF, United Kingdom | 020 3735 3771 | Website

Venue Description

Theatre Deli has been a driving force within the arts since 2008, taking over empty spaces in city centres, and creating hubs that support emerging artists, companies and communities whose identities, backgrounds, disciplines or work are underrepresented in theatre. Currently operating in Sheffield and London, Theatre Deli works to develop diverse audiences, artistic communities by providing safe suitably resourced environments for everyone to experiment with, develop, showcase and enjoy art. We support and invest in artists through residencies, drop-ins, jams, festivals, co-productions, in-kind support and so much more.

Accessibility

Level Access ● There is a step outside of the Leadenhall Street entrance to the building. The Brown’s Building entrance is step-free and is access-controlled. Theatre Deli is located on the ground and mezzanine levels and our reception area is just beyond the main building reception. ● At either entrance call the building reception using a buzzer system on the left hand side and the team will provide a ramp to assist you in entering the building. ● Lifts are required for step free access to Theatre Deli’s ground and mezzanine floors. These can be found in the building reception on entrance and accessed with assistance from the building reception team. Visual access ● Some parts of the venue have low lighting. The venue is lit with fluorescent and LED lighting, with some areas having additional natural lighting. ● We have highlighted some trip hazards in the building using low vision reflective tape. ● For safety reasons we need all visitors to sign in on an ipad. Theatre Deli staff can assist visually impaired guests if needed. General ● For ticketed events we sometimes have a concessionary rate for visitors with disabilities. ● We have a complimentary ticket policy for carers and assistants. Please contact reception@theatredeli.co.uk to access this. ● Some staff have disability awareness training. ● Theatre Deli operates in disused spaces. We endeavour to make our spaces fully accessible. However, due to the age and condition of some of the buildings in which we operate, there are sometimes architectural limitations that we work around to provide the best experience possible. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience these access arrangements may cause. Please do not hesitate to contact us at reception@theatredeli.co.uk with any feedback or questions.
