Overview
We were doing a driving tour of Ireland and Belfast was our last but one stop. We were actually staying in the titanic hotel which is across the street from the titanic experience. Most of it was accessible, except for the cable car ride, which wouldn’t fit my electric wheelchair. Some of the spaces were very crowded which made it difficult to manoeuvre my wheelchair so we hurried through those sections. Overall, accessible with lifts at appropriate places without having to double back on yourself.
Transport & Parking
We were able to park at the titanic hotel (because we were staying there) and walk across to the exhibit. I’m sure if you were only able to park outside the hotel you could go in and explain that you needed accessible parking to visit the exhibit and they would be fine with that.
Access
Beautifully accessible! There were plenty of benches around for rest stops. I saw a few people with audio guides as well. There were lifts to all floors without having to double back on yourself. Some parts of the exhibit were very crowded which made manoeuvring challenging. I wish there was a better system to direct the flow of people.
Toilets
I did see a sign for a changing places toilet but didn’t personally go in.
