Overview
Titanic Quarter Railway Station is a small station in Belfast, a short distance from the Titanic Museum and the River Lagan Walk. It is also not too far from the Happy Out Coffee Shop, which is one of my favourite coffee shops in the city. The station also provides a great vantage point to see one of the two H&W cranes, which are now recognised as Belfast landmarks.
Transport & Parking
There are no parking facilities at this location, either for bikes or cars.
Access
The station is entirely step-free, which is always great to see, but there are ramps on either side. I came via the cycle path leading to Platform 2, but if you need to change platforms, there's a bridge between the two areas, which has both stairs and ramps – though the incline is rather steep. There are rain shelters with metal seats on both platforms, several unsheltered metal benches, and accessible ticket machines, which feature a screen reduction option to bring the presented information down to seating height. The machines also have braille markings. There are no hearing loops on the platform, which feels like too simple an addition to omit. Tactile paving is installed at the platform edges.
Toilets
There are no toilets here.
Staff
The station is unstaffed, but the conductor can provide a ramp if needed when the train pulls in.
