We are a luxury glamping site, 11 miles from York city. The site consists of 12 wooden cabins all overlooking a large wildlife lake and surrounded by woodland. We have 3 Wigwam Lodge Fully accessible cabins which are designed to be wheelchair accessible and 9 Deluxe ensuite cabins. Accessible cabin details: Luxury, heated wooden Wigwam® Cabin with TV. Suitable for wheelchair users, with ramp and electric charging point. Can accommodate up to 5 guests with 2 double pull out sofa beds and 1 single bed. En-Suite facilities with wide access wet room and grab rails. Kitchenette with 2 ring hob, fridge, microwave, toaster, and kettle . Basic utensils, pans, crockery and cutlery for five. Private outdoor picnic bench and fire pit/BBQ. Parking for one car next to Wigwam® Cabin. All the cabins are fully heated and insulated and overlook the wildlife lake. Spacious cabin in pleasant surroundings

A collection of 12 cabins surrounded by their own private gardens and lawn and lots of trees overlooking a lake full of bird life. I am a wheelchair user and the cabin was easy to access up a ramp. the cabin was spacious enough to move round the wet room was small but I had enough room. It was difficult to find information on the website about the accessible features. The website had no accessibility statement or photos of the wet room so we felt we used a leap of Faith to stay there. There are no hoists or profile bed but we didn't need these features . We did have a good time and marvellous weather. We had often no mobile signal and there was no Wi-Fi on site. We were able to take our dogs which was brilliant.

Gentle sloping ramp up to the decking area leading to level access into the cabin and the bathroom. Wheelchair accessible picnic table. Ramp width – 100cm Door width 85cm. Kitchenette with shallow sink, and movable lower kitchen cabinets for access. Accessible Toilet/Shower wet room with high toilet, grab rails, lower sink and shower chair Parking next to the cabin with level track around the site

All the Wigwam Lodge Accessible cabins are ensuite with Bathroom/ shower wet room with high toilet, stainless steel grab rails, lower sink and shower with chair. Bathroom door width 80cm.
