This review is especially helpful for those who have or use the following: Walking Aid, Wheelchair
All areas accessible to wheelchair users, has blue badge parking spaces. This pub is a used as a venue for a memory cafe we attend. We haven't eaten here.
Transport & Parking
Marked parking bays near entrance including 2 accessible spaces. There are bus stops on either side of the pub (it's on a corner plot) which are served by a regular accessible bus service (definitely G1, maybe other services as well).
Level access through the main entrance, there is a small step to the side entrance. Level access throughout the inside.
The accessible toilet is towards the side entrance, if you are in the bar you have to go through the function room to get to it and it's not not next to the non accessible toilets. RADAR key needed, you may have to ask bar staff to put the light on. It's a good size toilet, outward opening door, has handrails.
We've never had any problems with the staff, they seem quite friendly.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Good venue. A ramp to the side entrance and sorting out the situation with the light in the accessible toilet are the main improvements that could be made.
