Euan’s Guide Access Survey finds disabled people forced to cut back on food and medical necessities due to increased energy costs

A blog post and news article about the results of the 2023 Euan’s Guide Access Survey Supported by Motability Operations. The survey results have found that disabled people continue to be disproportionately affected by the cost of living crisis. The survey also found that disabled people still face barriers in everyday activities. Over 6,000 people took part in the UK’s largest disabled access survey, 98% of whom identified as a disabled person.

Helping disabled people move to electric vehicles

Euan's Guide features in the latest episode of The Scotman’s Sustainable Scotland podcast, which has been produced in partnership with Motability Operations, the company that runs the Motability car, powered wheelchair and scooter scheme. The charity and Paul Ralph were in conversation with the CEO of Motability Operations, Andrew Miller. The episode covers the inevitable move to electric vehicles, and the growing concern that ensues for many disabled people now that a UK-wide ban on the sale of new petrol and diesel cars is scheduled for 2030.
