A blog post and news article about the results of the 2023 Euan’s Guide Access Survey Supported by Motability Operations. The survey results have found that disabled people continue to be disproportionately affected by the cost of living crisis. The survey also found that disabled people still face barriers in everyday activities. Over 6,000 people took part in the UK’s largest disabled access survey, 98% of whom identified as a disabled person.

The annual competition was launched in 2013 by Blackwood Homes and Care, who help people live their lives to the fullest by providing high-quality housing, care and support for disabled people of all ages. The design awards have grown each year, becoming an international contest which attracts designers, engineers and inventors from all over the globe. The purpose of the Blackwood Design Awards is to discover and champion brilliant concepts, designs and products that have the potential to help people live independently. Euan's Guide is the award winning disabled access charity.

It's thanks to our amazing volunteers that we can share disabled access information, which we know gives disabled people and their families the confidence to visit somewhere new.
