Venue Description

Sculthorpe Moor Nature Reserve is a beautiful 200 acre and wildlife-rich nature reserve located close to Fakenham in north Norfolk. We have developed a range of habitats for the many different species of wildlife found throughout the stunning Wensum River valley and provided boardwalks and hides with access suitable for all. Marsh Harriers, Barn Owls, Red Kites, Otters, and Water Voles are a frequent sight and fully accessible hides allow close approach to a dazzling array of species.

Accessibility

The entire reserve has been designed with a step free philosophy in mind. All raised areas and hides are accessible by ramps and boardwalks. Viewing platforms provide areas where visitors can view the river wildlife that we have, hides have windows designed at a lower height with areas where people can place their wheelchair. All doors are wide enough for wheelchair and buggy access and are easy to open, either by pulling, pushing or by sliding across.
