Overview

This accommodation is great for a wheelchair user. It's in a converted stable block, and is open plan. There are 2 bedrooms and can sleep up to 5 people. The bathroom has a walk in shower with a chair. The toilet has handrails and there is a normal bath and sink with 2 mirrors! Ones lower so if your in your chair you can still check out how gorgeous you are!! The kitchen is well laid out, and the furniture is comfortable. The accommodation is very reasonably priced, and is just on the outskirts of Filey, 5 minutes in the car and your at the beach! David and Gillian Teet, who own the cottages are very helpful and you get a welcome pack that includes some groceries so you can make yourself a drink without going shopping straight away.

Transport & Parking

4

You can park outside the house but the paving is uneven and there is a small slope that is quite steep. There is a bus stop outside the park so you don't have to walk far to get a bus.

Access

There is a large sign at the roadside and some smaller signs as you go through the park. I'm not sure about induction loops but there isn't any Braille signs.

Toilets

The bathroom is very roomy with plenty of space for wheelchairs and carers. The shower is a walk in and has a chair. The toilet has grab rails around but is low.

Staff

This is a self catering cottage so there isn't any staff per se. The owners are very helpful and will assist you with any problems.
