Overview

As a random thought I looked on ticketmaster to see what was on in Dublin for the 5 nights we were there. By chance Tate McRae was playing at 3Arena. I only knew 1 of her songs when I booked to see her but have since become somewhat of a fan. I can’t fault the accessibility of the venue itself. We were ushered into the building by staff without waiting in the queue and got to wait inside the building until the doors opened. There were lifts to the first floor, where the accessible seats were, and flat access everywhere. The only negative was there was no parking (without height restriction) anywhere around the building.

Transport & Parking

0.5

No parking anywhere around the building (without a height restriction). There’s a multi-storey car park with a 2m height restriction fairly close to the 3Arena, unfortunately, my vehicle is 2.13m so didn’t fit. We had to pull up on a main road and cross over a fairly busy road to get into the building. Upon the finish of the show the road where we pulled up on to get into the building was gridlocked so my carer had to park quite a distance away.

Access

The building itself is fully accessible with flat access everywhere and lifts to the first floor. The view from the accessible seating area was brilliant, except when people (in the seated section) stood up in front of us, but a staff member came and told everyone to sit down twice.

Staff

The staff were amazing. They ushered us in through a separate gate, past the massive queue and were then shown into the building where we got to wait until the doors were opened. Once in the building our tickets were scanned quickly and we were shown to the lift to the first floor. When on the first floor we did have to find a staff member to show us where to sit. During the show the crowd in front of us were standing up, a staff member came and told everyone to sit down twice. At the end of the show we left at the start of the final song to avoid the crowds. A woman showed us to an alternative lift, moving everyone out of the way on the path to that lift.
