Overview
Aerospace Bristol is an interesting mix of history, engineering and some seriously impressive aircraft. Even if aviation isn't something of interest, there's lots to see and do – though in this review we'll be looking at the Changing Places toilet!

The Changing Places toilet is located in the main exhibition hangar, near the gift shop. You won’t need a RADAR key to get in, but you will need to enter a code on the keypad, which means finding a member of staff. The gift shop is the best place to ask, as it’s the most consistently staffed. Once you’ve got the code, the door opens inwards to reveal a bright, modern space. Inside, there’s an adjustable changing bed with a sling already hanging on the wall, and a ceiling track hoist in place. There’s room for both left-side and right-side transfers to the toilet, though the right-side space is quite close to the wall and sink, which could be awkward for some. The toilet itself has a blue contrasting seat, with grab rails on either side. The red emergency cord is to the left when seated and – importantly – it's long and unobstructed. The sink features a deep basin and a lever-style mixer tap, though it isn’t height-adjustable. The soap dispenser is mounted on the mirror above. The flooring is wetroom-style, but there’s no shower or colostomy shelf, which is why I've given the facility this rating.
Staff
The staff were helpful, but having to seek someone out to ask for a code feels like an unnecessary extra step.
