    Good

We pulled into this TotalEnergies station located along the busy A10 motorway. The charging stations are in the middle of a large service station complex, making it visible and close to the main amenities. We used a Total Energies device at this location.

    Disabled Access In and Around

The charging spaces are not designated or marked as accessible bays for disabled drivers, and the layout does not comply with PAS 1899 requirements. Clear directional signs lead you to the station from the motorway exit, making the charging hub easy to find. There are protective bollards positioned around the units. There is a minimum of 1200 mm from the charge unit to the vehicle socket point. The components can be viewed and operated easily, with the bottom of the handle connector socket sitting between 800 mm and 950 mm, and the main terminal screen interface positioned between 800 mm and 1000 mm from the ground.

    Parking & Transport

I travelled to this place by personal vehicle

There are 6 bays in total at this location. The chargers are run by TotalEnergies and offer high-power rapid charging speeds. Our charging session ran smoothly once it got going, but initiating the session was a bit of a headache. When inputting our info, the display screen only showed a QR code, which then forced us to navigate our phone app to execute the card payment. The unit didn't give any clear indication that our data had actually been received, showing a frustrating disconnect between the machine and the app. It took a bit of trial and error to get it sorted, alongside some welcome help from a fellow EV user who was charging next to us. Each unit has its own attached cable and connector, which has basic cable management built in to handle the weight of the lead. The station supports multiple language options.

    Accessible Toilets

There are no standalone public facilities right next to the chargers, but the main service station toilets are available nearby.

    Additional Information

There is no customer assistance information on the units. Our visit took place during the daytime, but overhead lights are installed across the parking grid for night use. There is no shelter over the charging station.
