Overview

A wheelchair accessible holiday house that is what it says, downstairs anyway, the number of places we checked that said they were wheelchair accessible were amazing, but when asked about the shower room they could not accommodate me, but the Osprey cottage could, The house can sleep up to ten, we spent a week here, the house was great, we arrived at the house they were parking for three cars, a long ramp up to the door, once inside, I was please to see the open planned lounge and kitchen, a lovely wet floor shower room a choice of three twin bedrooms on the ground floor one ensuite, another twin and a double bedroom upstairs, the double was also ensuite, Wi Fi was available, there is another Cottage next to the Osprey, the Ptarmigan Cottage this can sleep six and also has a wet floor shower room,

Transport & Parking

Parking right outside the garden gate enough for three cars

Access

Access to the house was via a long ramp from the garden gate, up to the front door where it could be a bit tight but I managed it fine,

Toilets

The loo is in along with the wet floor shower room, every thing was there all the grab rails that one would need, plenty of turning room in the wet room, the sink was a right level and so was the mirror on the wall

Staff

There was a housekeeper at the end of the phone line but we had no reason to contact the lady, and she had the house clean and tidy for us arriving, also they were some essentials in the house,

The cottage was well laid out and sleeps up to 10 with an open lounge and kitchen with all the white goods installed other things like a steam press, food processor, baking tins, really everything you need in a well equipped kitchen, they are 3 twin bedrooms downstairs, one ensuite 2 bedrooms upstairs one double with ensuite another twin room, you can access the large front garden at the bottom of the ramp, at the rear of the Cottage there is decking that you can access via the French doors in the lounge, but you can`t access the rear garden by wheelchair here, there is use of Wi-Fi, there is another cottage next to the Osprey the Ptarmigan Cottage this is disable access also with a wet floor room, We also had plenty of wildlife visiting the bird feeders in the rear garden, birds like the usual blue & great tits, siskins, collared doves, and a couple of woodpeckers every day, just a wee reminder if your sitting with the French doors open you may end up with a wee visit from the odd chaffinch that might want to see the inside of the cottage, lucky my brother in law was there to set them free again.
