Aline Community Woodland is a bit of a rarity, an accessible walk set atop a boardwalk. I've long celebrated the mental health benefits of the outdoors, but for many disabled people, trails are inaccessible. I can't say Aline will suit everyone, but it was a joy to visit.
Disabled Access In and Around
Average
It was lovely to be able to go walking with my family, but the gate is not ideal for the lone traveller. I would've liked to have seen handrails on the boardwalk, as this could make a massive difference to many. The route is pretty clear, being circular and all, but waymarking is also a consideration. There are no alternative formats in use.

The car park is pretty spacious, though there are no marked bays. There is a coach and van-specific car park nearby. There is no cost to park here.

There is a small hut where people can stop for shelter at the car park, but we didn't go inside.
