This modern hotel is comfortable, friendly and very central. An ideal base for wheelchair users to explore the historic heart of Haarlem.

    Disabled Access In and Around

    Rating Emoji

    Excellent

A gentle ramp leads from the street to automatic front doors. The lobby is spacious and there are two lifts to the bedroom levels, each large enough to take a wheelchair users and accompanist. The corridors are sufficiently wide. The wheelchair accessible room and ensuite adapted bathroom were by far the most spacious we have encountered.

    Parking & Transport

Our taxi was able to drop us a few metres from the hotel entrance, which is in the pedestrianised zone. There is an underground car park with lift next to the hotel but we did not use it. The hotel is about ten minutes wheel/walk from the train station.

Our ensuite bathroom and loo were spacious. A shower chair is provided and there is a wheelchair accessible wetroom shower. The accompanist enjoyed the man-sized bath tub. The loo is equipped with a grab rail. Side transfer from one side is possible. The washbasin is approachable in a wheelchair.

Helpful, friendly & efficient. We arrived three hours before check-in time but found that our room was ready and we were given access straight away.

    Additional Information

The hotel is very close to the historic centre. It serves a buffet breakfast, and an unaccompanied wheelchair users would find it difficult to see what was on offer and access it. They do not serve lunch or evening meals but there is an excellent Italian restaurant, Diga, next door with level internal access from the hotel.
