Overall Rating
Good
Auntie Anne’s is a well-known pretzel chain that originated in the US and now has 50-plus outlets in the UK. We didn’t actually have a pretzel, but a cup of coffee and, at £2, it was a bargain. There isn’t a shop as such, it’s more of a stall in the shopping centre. The good thing about this is that there are no doors to navigate and no wayfinding to stress over.
Disabled Access In and Around
Good
As this is more of a stall than an actual shop, there are no doors, which is one less barrier to contend with. The counter is low enough for wheelchair users to see and engage with staff. There are no alternative formats in use.
Accessible facilities: Step-free entrance
Parking & Transport
Good
I travelled to this place by personal vehicle
Accessible facilities: Electric vehicle charging, Drop-off or pick up point
Accessible Toilets
There is a wheelchair-accessible toilet with baby changing facilities in the upper foyer of the shopping centre. And one on the lower floor in the corridor near Five Guys. There is also a Changing Places toilet in Braehead Shopping Centre, on the upper level within the baby changing area. You will need to use the phone beside the door to contact the team, who will arrange for it to be opened.
Facilities: Accessible toilet, Changing Places toilet
Staff
Excellent
Staff were pleasant.
