Overview

The Barceló Bilbao Nervión Hotel is situated along the Nervión River. It’s a modern spacious hotel with a restaurant, both with fantastic wheelchair access. The food was great and would suite all manner of tastes. I stayed in a Wheelchair Accessible Twin room which I could manaover around in my chair with ease. It also had a large wet room with a shower chair and several grab-rails if required.

Transport & Parking

I arrived at the hotel by taxi and the drop-off point was right outside the hotel door. There was an underground car park available if parking was required.

Access

The access was fantastic, the entrance was sloped, so entering and leaving was easy, there was lift access to all floors and 3 lifts on every floor, one which was extra wide specifically for Wheelchair users. The resteraunt was also easy to access, very spacious and easy wheel around without bumping into tables or chairs.

Toilets

There was an accessible toilet available on the ground floor.

Staff

The staff couldn’t have been more helpful despite very little English they were always happy to help with any queries and assist when required.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

Probably one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in, in terms of accessibility, you could get around everywhere in the hotel easily and the room/wetroom facilities were great!
