On a wet summer's day, this was the perfect place to amuse our grandkids and their border terrier. Hugely welcoming, the visitor centre for this World Horse Welfare site is brilliantly staffed with helpful volunteers, who provide guidance to walks around the grounds where you can meet the horses as they enjoy the blissful calm of the setting, rehabilitating them in preparation for departure to new owners.
