Overview

The castle and to kiss the Blarney Stone itself isn’t accessible but the grounds of the castle are fully accessible and free to wheelchair users due to the inaccessibility of the castle itself. They do free carer tickets although not advertised on their website, which I learnt to my detriment after paying for my carers to kiss the stone.

Plenty of parking close to the castle entrance, costs €3.

The castle grounds are so stunning, especially if you like plants and nature. Lovely wide pathways the majority of the way around the gardens. The castle itself isn’t accessible especially if you wanted to kiss the Blarney Stone as there’s 250+ steps to reach it.
